چکیده

Abstract. Transform margins represent ∼ 30 % of non-convergent worldwide. Their formation and evolution have traditionally been addressed through kinematic models that do not account for the mechanical behaviour lithosphere. In this study, we use high-resolution 3D numerical thermo-mechanical modelling to simulate investigate intra-continental strain localization under oblique extension. The obliquity is set velocity boundary conditions range from 15∘ (high obliquity) 75∘ (low every rheologies strong weak lower continental crust. Numerical show localized strike-slip shear zones leading transform always follows a thinning phase during which lithosphere thermally mechanically weakened. For low- (75∘) intermediate-obliquity (45∘) cases, faults are parallel extension direction but form an angle 20∘ 40∘ with plate motion vector, while higher obliquities (30∘ 15∘) develop direction. also lithosphere, stress re-orient kept constant. This evolution, due weakening leads process in three major phases: (1) initiation rigid where structures sub-perpendicular direction; (2) distributed deformation local field variations transtensional structures; (3) highly boundaries stopping deformation. Our results call thorough re-evaluation approach studying margins.

Kinematics and Dynamic Modelling of the Human Shoulder

This paper deals with kinematics and dynamics of the human shoulder in order to obtain the workspace related to the reachability of the wrist and applications to determine load for the wheelchair. The model contains six revolute degrees of freedom (D.O.F), two in costoclavicular and three in the shoulder joint and one in the elbow joint, while a six D.O.F model was developed according to given ...

Mechanical System Modelling of Robot Dynamics Using a Mass/Pulley Model

The well-known electro-mechanical analogy that equates current, voltage, resistance, inductance and capacitance to force, velocity, damping, spring constant and mass has a shortcoming in that mass can only be used to simulate a capacitor which has one terminal connected to ground. A new model that was previously proposed by the authors that combines a mass with a pulley (MP) is shown to simulat...

Communication Strategies Revisited: Looking beyond Interactional and Psycholinguistic Perspectives

Second language (L2) communication strategies (CSs) have traditionally been dealt with through either interactional or psychological perspectives. However, this paper is a critical attempt to question the status of the particular kinds of psycholinguistic and interactional approaches that currently dominate the field of second language acquisition (SLA). In this way, it expands the significance...

In 2015, the Korean Journal of Urology (KJU) ado pted the slogan “A commitment to excellence” with the aim of becoming a premier journal in the field of urology [1]. To pursue this goal, the KJU focused on rapid critical reviews, fast publication, and easytoaccess online audiovisual contents. On April 11, a KJU workshop took place in Busan during the Korean Urological Congress & Expo. The wo...
